On the way from the Market Square to the Monastery of the Robe, there is a snow-white Lazarevskaya church, crowned with dark copper domes.
Short story
In ancient times, the church was located on the territory of the posad, but today its western facade faces Staraya Street, and its eastern façade faces Lenin Street. The first wooden church, consecrated in the name of Saint Lazarus, existed on this site already in the 15th century.... The Lazarevsky temple standing on the settlement was first mentioned in the charter for the transfer of land received by the Savior-Euthymius Monastery from Tsar Ivan III in 1495.

Inventory of Suzdal from 1617 says that “on the left side of Monastery of the Robe the wooden church of Lazarus the Righteous was built ”. 50 years later, in 1667, the townspeople replaced the wooden church with a stone one. In 1745, the Antipius winter church was added to the Lazarevsky summer temple, creating an ensemble of "paired" temples.
The architecture of the Lazarevskaya church
The Lazarevskaya church (1667), which has survived to this day, laid the foundation for the Suzdal five-domed... In 1653, Patriarch Nikon ordered to build temples in the tradition of the "consecrated five domes", considering the hipped roof unacceptable for the church. Five domes of the Lazarevsky temple with gilded crosses are among the most beautiful in Suzdal. The building of the Church of Lazarus the Righteous is a quadrangle, on the west side of which is adjoined by the porch, and on the east - three semicircular apses.

In the upper part, the quadrangles of the main volume are decorated with a cornice made of kokoshniks and a belt of glazed tiles set with a rhombus.
The southern, western and northern portals are framed with semicircles pointed upwards. The bulbous heads rest on drums decorated with an arcature-columnar belt. Corner drums have windows through which the room is filled with sunlight.
