Museum "Bunker"
A mysteriously interesting object is the Bunker Museum. It is also called General Otto von Läsch's dugout, which was hastily equipped in January 1945 for his headquarters. The bunker is arranged in a traditional way: a long corridor, on the sides of which there are small casemate rooms. Two sealed doors lead into the bunker. The strong walls are made of bricks with a layer of reinforced concrete, the floor is also filled with concrete. Some of the rooms have been preserved in an authentic setting.
The total length of the dugout is 42 m, the width is 15 m, it was electrified, equipped with water supply and sewerage. After the end of the war, the bunker was abandoned, the premises were filled with groundwater. But in the 50s, the dugout was dried up by pumping out the water, and the air defense headquarters was opened in it. In 1968, a branch of the History and Art Museum of Kaliningrad was organized here. Today, maps of German offensives, mock-ups with a recreation of the events of the assault on Koeningsberg, interiors of 1945 are available. In some places, the branded brands of the organizations that built the bunker have been preserved.
Botanical Garden
Rebuilt anew after being destroyed at the end of the war in 1945, the Kaliningrad Botanical Garden is located on the territory of the former Königsberg gardening, created by a professor at the University of Königsberg Keber in 1904. The restoration of the garden began in 1948 with the creation of a research institute for landscaping.
